Being a servant of God, Joanne, a sister of mine at church and I decided to make a cake for the church’s annual meeting. We both love baking and decorating cake. As an act of gratitude for the skills that God had endowed to us, we offer back to him our talent by making the three layered cake. My daughter, Sophie helped with the flower making. David, Joanne’s boyfriend played chess with my beloved husband. It was a wonderful fellowship for us. During the Annual Meeting, our cake was the highlight. But of course, the main highlight, was God. The cake symbolizes thanksgiving for all the blessings that we have. The colors of the cake were the church’s theme color and it represents the different nationalities of the members. The cake’s flavor goes with the variety of culture that each member has. Stars and flowers are the epitome of the member’s role at church.
